“Obviously we are really excited about (having) another crack in these boys. It will be an intense game, sure,” Marchand said.
“There is no bigger rivalry in hockey than in Canada-US, and I think it is the confrontation that everyone wanted. So it will be an extremely intense game, one that we are all waiting for.”
Mackinnon said he thinks Canada can get the victory in Boston.

“We feel that we can overcome those guys and plan to play a little better on Thursday,” he said, through athletics.
The Americans received a blow to their defeat against Sweden to end the portion of Round-Robin of the tournament. Brady Tkachuk left in the second period after a collision with Samuel Ersson from Sweden in the fold. Auston Matthews and Charlie Mcavoy were scratched from the alignment.
American chief coach Mike Sullivan said the team was waiting for the confrontation.

“The first game was a great hockey game. And I think it’s great for hockey that there is an opportunity for these two teams to meet again,” said Sullivan. “Obviously, both teams have star power throughout the alignment. It was a very competitive hockey game, the first game. I would anticipate that the next one will be so competitive, if not more.”
