Islamabad:
The United States ambassador to the interim in Pakistan, Natalie Baker, met Friday with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, to discuss matters of mutual interest, including regional security, counterterrorism and improved bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Baker reaffirmed the importance of relations between the United States and Pakistan, stating: “Pakistan is a valuable partner of the United States. We ayect great importance to our relationship and hope to further strengthen our cooperation in multiple sectors.”
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of both countries to advance peace and stability in the region through sustained dialogue and collaboration efforts.
During the discussion, both parties exchanged points of view on various issues of shared interest, including the counterterrorism, antarcatic collaboration and growing security concerns throughout the region.
The dialogue emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation to address transnational challenges in evolution.
A key culminating point of the meeting was the recent commitment between Pakistan Army personnel, the Munir Marshal and the president of the United States, Donald Trump. Both Naqvi and Baker saw the meeting and a constructive step to deepen the strategic ties between Islamabad and Washington.
Naqvi praised President Trump’s leadership to facilitate fire between Iran and Israel, describing his efforts as “extraordinary and sincere.”
“The impressive role of President Trump in the true peace between Iran and Israel, after his contributions prior to the Alto El Fuego de Pakistan-India, will always be remembered,” said Interior Minister. “We hope that President Trump also succeeds in achieving fire in Gaza,” he added.
“Pakistan highly values every step taken for the promotion of peace. We have always believed in solving disputes, including the problem of Kashmir, through dialogue and diplomacy.”
The Interine Ambassador Natalie Baker praised Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at stabilizing the region.
