US Treasury sanctions. UU. Burmese militia group said it will execute compounds of ‘Pork Carnage’

A group of militias in Burma that supposedly directs a large -scale shelter for cyber scammers, the Karen National Army, has been blocked from the United States financial system by the Treasury Department.

The US authorities said on Monday that the organization has provided a refuge for transnational criminal organizations that use the border region controlled by the KNA to administer illicit operations such as human trafficking and smuggling. The group, which is said to have ties with the Burmese army, is also accused of promoting cyber scams and cryptography robberies to an “industrial scale” linked to billions of dollars in losses.

Under the control of KNA, hotels and casinos were adapted to house the elaborate scam operations of “Pork Carnage” in which US citizens were attracted to fraudulent romantic ties and stole money in the form of cryptocurrency, according to the Department of the Tesor. Those who participated in the scams often had captive or under pressure to execute thefts of months that sometimes used attractive models to participate in video calls.

In the new sanctions of the United States, which also specifically point to the leader of the organization, saw Chit Thu, and their children, saw Htooo Eh Moo and saw Chit Chit, the Office of the Treasury of Control of Foreign Assets is blocking any use of US assets or interactions with US people or entities.

This action closely follows the movement last week by the United States to cut the Cambodian company Huione Group of the financial system. It was said that Huione provided a money laundering output for criminal organizations in Southeast Asia.
