Eric Meyer, an official of the Senior Office (SBO) for the Affairs Office of the South and Central Asia in the United States Department of State, stressed the immense Pakistan potential in the mineral sector, qualifying it as a change of play for both economies.

During a recent visit to Islamabad, Meyer directed an American delegation focused on promoting cooperation in the Pakistan critical mineral industry, deepening economic ties and reinforcing the anti -terrorist collaboration.

“Critical minerals are the raw materials necessary for our most advanced technologies,” Meyer said while talking outside the Pakistan mineral investment forum.

“President Trump has made it clear that ensuring diverse and reliable sources of these materials is a strategic priority. Pakistan’s vast mineral potential can benefit our countries,” he added.

According to an official statement, the United States aims to support sustainable development in Pakistan’s mining sector by sharing technical experience, encouraging investment and promoting responsible resource management.

Meyer highlighted the mutual benefits of a transparent and well -regulated mining industry, adding that it could unlock significant economic opportunities.

During his two -day stay, Meyer met with the highest leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the head of the Army staff, the general also Munir, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik.

Their discussions revolved around the expansion of access for US companies, the strengthening of economic associations and the advancement of joint efforts against terrorism.

Meyer also dedicated himself to foreign policy analysts, American commercial representatives in Pakistan and former students of American public diplomacy programs to reaffirm the connections of people to people who support bilateral ties.
