USEFP discontinues Global Scholarships from Ugra for Pakistani students

Taking advantage of the dreams of hundreds of brilliant students who aspire to follow higher education abroad, the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) has completed its global undergraduate exchange program for Pakistan (Global Ugragra).

“We regret informing him that after 15 incredible years, the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for Pakistan (Global Ugragra) has come to an end,” said the USEFP in a statement.

“The informed USEFP of the United States Department of State that the global Ugra-Pakistan program will no longer be offered.”

The educators said that the program had a lasting impact on thousands of students, providing them with opportunities for academic growth and leadership while promoting cultural exchange, adding that this announcement was a heartbreaking for students who were looking to study abroad.

“We understand that this news can be disappointing, especially for those who requested this year and expected this opportunity,” said Usefp.

“Over the years, the Global Ugragra has provided experiences that change the lives of thousands of students, promoting academic growth, cultural exchange and leadership development.”

Worshiping the success of the scholarship, the USEFP lamented the interruption of such a successful program, wishing the most brilliant future beneficiaries.

“We are immensely proud of the impact that this program has had on its participants and the communities that have touched,” Usefp added.

The USEFP says that students still encourage students to be attentive to the options to grow personally and academically.

“We sincerely appreciate your interest in the program and your commitment to personal and academic growth. While this chapter is closing, we encourage you to explore other opportunities for exchange and scholarships that can align with your aspirations.”

USEFP was established in 1950 to administer the prestigious Fulbright program, the Flash Scholarship Program of the United States Government. The Global Undergraduate Exchange program (Global Ugragra) was established in 2010, under which more than 2,657 university students have had the opportunity to study during a semester in American schools and universities.
