USF approves seven projects worth RS7.4b


Islamabad:

The Universal Service Fund (USF) has seven green transformative projects worth RS7.49 billion, with the aim of providing high speed Internet and mobile connectivity without problems to 0.96 million residents in 347 mauzas in 10 districts.

The two fiber optic cable projects (OFC) will allow high -speed fixed broadband services for 2.8 million residents in two districts. The amount was approved by the Board of Directors of the Fund.

The Ministry of Information established the USF to disseminate the benefits of the telecommunications revolution throughout the country. Promotes the development of telecommunications services in non -served and not served areas.
