He reiterated the intention of US President Donald Trump to explore “new areas of economic cooperation in critical minerals and hydrocarbons” between the two countries.
“We hope to explore new areas of economic cooperation, including critical minerals and hydrocarbons, and foster dynamic trade associations that will promote a prosperous future for Americans and Pakistani,” Rubio said.
His comments come amid the improvement of ties between Islamabad and Washington.

On August 11, the United States appointed the Baluchistan Liberation Army (Bla) and its alias, the Majeed Brigade, as foreign terrorist organizations.

Beijing
The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing organized a worthy elevation ceremony of the flag to commemorate Independence Day.
The event also celebrated the historical victory in Marka-E-HAQ during the Bunyanum-Marsos operation.
The ceremony began with the elevation of the national flag by the deputy director of Mission Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary.
Congratulations messages of the President, Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister of Pakistan were read.
Pagured messages tribute to the sacrifices made during the fight for freedom under the visionary leadership of Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnaah, which culminated in the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947.

The Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a publication on X, also congratulated “Pakistan friendly and fraternal” on its independence day, adding the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad!”.
The Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan said that the EU Ambassador Riina Kionka extended sincere wishes to the country on her 78th Independence Day, and added: “Together, we celebrate friendship and unity, because we are stronger together.”

The Minister of Tolerance and coexistence of the EAU, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, together with the Pakistan ambassador to the USA.
The event, organized by the social platform ‘Emirates loves Pakistan’, attracted more than sixty thousand attendees, including diplomats, government officials, business leaders and members of the Pakistani community of all the EAU.
In his speech, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan congratulated the Pakistani people and highlighted the deeply rooted friendship between the EAU and Pakistan, based on shared values, mutual respect and a collective vision of peace and prosperity.
He reaffirmed Eau’s commitment to his association with Pakistan, describing him as a fraternal cooperation model that contributes to regional and global prosperity.

The Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, who spoke with the Emirates news agency (WAM), pointed out the bilateral relationship of decades between the two countries, strengthened through collaboration in sectors of economic, cultural and human development.
He expressed pride in the lasting link between nations and emphasized continuous efforts to deepen ties through cultural exchange, economic cooperation and joint community initiatives.
