Islamabad:
Senator Faisal Vawda has affirmed that PTI’s leadership wanted to lose the case of the reserved seats, since he had presented a very weak case.
In an interview, he declared that he had predicted one and a half years ago that the PTI would be disappointed.
“The way in which the PTI followed the case, was obliged to lose. Legally, there was nothing substantial. The decision announced on Friday is based on merit because the legal requirements were met,” said the politician, who served as a federal minister in the Imran Khan cabinet.
He said that PTI leaders “want to keep Imran Khan behind bars” and that “they are succeeding.”
“PTI members are fully enjoying the situation. They get advantages, salaries and official vehicles.
“They do it in an organized way and with a mutual understanding and want to keep the former prime minister after bars,” he said.
