The Vice Mariscal del Aire Aurangzeb Ahmed of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has become one of the most wanted individuals in Pakistan, after increased military tensions with India before.
The search interest in “Aurengzeb” increased sharply in Pakistan on May 12, 2025, with Google trends data that shows a maximum value of 100 to 2:00 am, the highest point recorded during the past week.
The trend has maintained high levels from the peak, indicating a sustained public participation and interest in the PAF spokesman.
Aungzeb Ahmed, who works as the official PAF spokesman, has gained popularity among the Pakistani public, particularly young people, for their composite behavior and subtle humor during press reports.
In a widely circulated clip, the air vice president said: “I will pick up from where I went, day before yesterday, paf vs iaf, 6-nil”, referring to the fall of Pakistan of five Indian airplanes during the climb. According to the reports, the account included three Rafale aircraft, a SU-30, a MIG-29 and a combat drone.
Pakistan’s armed forces were launched Operation Bunyan-Un-Marshus in response to Indian military strikes that began during the night from May 6 to 7. Indian attacks resulted in the death of numerous civilians, including women, children and the elderly.
On the Indian side, “the meaning of Alto El Fuego” was the most wanted term, registering more than 10 million consultations. The “Sindoor Operation” and “Simulated Simulation” followed five million and one million searches, respectively.
In Pakistan, the term “Islamabad airport” occupied third place, with 100,000 searches. Other popular consultations included “JF-17 Thunder”, “DG ISPR”, “Dassault Aviation Price Actions” and the Indian Combat Pilot “Shivangi Singh”.
‘PAF made a larger air attack in Indian airfields since 1971’ ‘
The PAF pointed to the largest number of Air Force Aerodromes in India (IAF) on a single mission since the 1971 War, the Aurangzeb Ahmed air vicisumnos said on Sunday.
In an informative session of the media, the air vice president said that PAF strikes were carried out precisely and deliberately avoided the civil infrastructure. He also said that the operation was a quick and calculated response to recent climbs, aimed at deter more hostilities.
“The mission was executed in our terms, under clear leadership instructions,” Air Vice Marshal Aurengzeb.
“India tried to establish a ‘new normality’ through aggressive escalation. Pakistan and coordinated response denied them that opportunity,” said Aurengzeb Ahmed, adding that Pakistan’s military radar and jam systems also intercepted multiple Indian drones aimed at civil areas.
