A disturbing video circulating on social media has revealed the brutal face of the police who kill a suspect in cold blood; Although he had thrown away his gun, he raised his hands and begged for mercy.
CCTV footage of police killing an alleged motorcycle thief during a chase near Purdah Park on New MA Jinnah Road has gone viral. It can be seen that instead of arresting him, the police continued shooting at the suspect even when he slipped and fell from his bike.
The alleged motorcycle thief, Munir Bilal, was murdered in the jurisdiction of Jamshed Quarters Police Station on Tuesday morning. The images show Munir being chased by police officers on another motorcycle.
The suspect throws his gun when he sees the police, but the officers continued shooting at him, causing Munir to fall off his bike. Even after he fell, the officials continued shooting him. The deceased suspect is seen pleasing with his hands together. A large number of citizens gathered at the scene after the incident.
The police must arrest the suspect and bring him to court. It is not their job to impose the death penalty, however, Jamshed Quarter police say the alleged suspect was a habitual criminal.
