The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Tuesday that they established their date to celebrate their 2024 World Series title at the White House with President Donald Trump.

The Dodgers said they would visit the White House on April 7, when the team is in the city to face Washington’s nationals. The team added that the players will visit Capitol Hill the next day.

“According to the long baseball tradition, President Trump has invited the 2024 world champion Los Angeles Dodgers to the White House when they play in Washington DC on April 7,” the team said. “The Dodgers hope to visit the White House and celebrate our title.

“In addition, the members of the Dodgers will visit Capitol Hill on April 8.”

The manager of the Dodgers, Dave Roberts, called him a “great honor” to visit the White House after suggesting that he would not do so in a story of Los Angeles Times 2019.

“It was not a formal conversation that we had as a ball club,” he explained, through ESPN. “It is certainly a great honor to obtain the invitation to the White House. It allows us to celebrate our 2024 championship. To my opinion, each world series champion obtains that honor, so it is a great honor for all of us.”

Los Angeles is the last team to celebrate their victory for the title in the White House. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Buckeyes Soccer of the State of Ohio have also committed to visit Trump and the White House. The Florida Panthers held their victory in the Stanley Cup last month.

Trump told Clay Travis de Outkick during the weekend that Kansas City bosses will celebrate their 2020 victory at the Super Bowl LIV after getting lost due to the pandemic of the Coronavirus.

Trump received a handful of sports team visits during his first administration. Mainly, baseball and university champions came to visit him while fighting with soccer players and basketball players for social justice issues and the decisions of some players to kneel during the national anthem.

This time, players seem to have changed their tone about Trump. Several athletes came out in support of it during the 2024 presidential electoral cycle, while others took a step further to emulate their dance movements during games and fights.
