- Wall-E and Eve greet each other at Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel for a limited time
- It hints at Disney’s next wave of character robotics and interactive experiences.
- It’s a rare sighting for the duo.
Space may be dominating the headlines thanks to the Artemis II mission, but here on Earth, Disney is quietly moving forward with something just as futuristic: real-world robots you can meet.
We’re also just a few weeks away from Earth Day and it’s actually National Robotics Week, which makes the timing even more appropriate.
So it’s only natural that Disney would highlight Wall-E and Eve in a pretty fun way. The couple, whom we first met in the 2008 film. e-wallhave been enjoying a resurgence, and even Lego released a new set to build both. And thanks to the Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, you’ll have the chance to meet the duo this month.
Article continues below.
Wall-E and Eve will host guests, in honor of Earth Month, exclusively on Wednesdays in April 2026: April 8, 15, 22, and 29. Wall-E, especially alongside Eve, remains a relatively rare vision from Disney, making it a notable opportunity for fans. In 2025, only Wall-E was seen in the same hotel.
More importantly, this isn’t just a one-off encounter: it’s another sign that Disney is moving toward more interactive, character-based robotic experiences.
That direction aligns closely with what Kyle Laughlin, senior vice president of R&D, technology and engineering at Walt Disney Imagineering, told TechRadar ahead of Olaf’s debut at Disneyland Paris’s Adventure World: “We don’t imagine just one robot from a franchise, but an entire world populated with characters you know and love.”
In other words, there are likely to be more robots on the way and more opportunities for guests to interact with them. Considering that the encounter with Wall-E and Eve will take place at the Pixar Place Hotel, it does not require park admission or a ticket, although demand will likely be high.
From videos shared by Disneyland on Instagram, and from lucky guests who have already seen the couple, Wall-E enters, while Eve appears to move as smoothly as would be expected from the film. It’s an elegant effect that is achieved quite well and both robots are impressively well made.
As Eve and Wall-E hold hands in the middle, both of their outer limbs move and Wall-E’s entire head, as well as his eyes, have mobility to convey emotions. Similarly, Eve’s eyes appear to be LED-based and can change on the fly. Of course, you may hear them talking as you walk by or when you walk up to say hello.
Allie Kawamoto, Hotel Experience Integration Manager for Disneyland Resort, told TechRadar: “We’re excited to celebrate Earth Month and welcome Wall•E and Eve to Pixar Place Hotel on Wednesdays this April! This is a great addition for guests staying at the hotel or stopping by for a quick hello.”
It’s a great way to celebrate Earth Day (and Earth Month in general) and it’s a free experience for anyone who can attend the Pixar Place Hotel.

I also hope there will be a continued resurgence at Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney Live Entertainment, and Disney in general, releasing more of their most impressive robots and animatronics for these unique guest interactions.
We’ve seen Olaf debut at Disneyland Paris, with Disneyland in Hong Kong expected later this year, and a further tease from Imagineering that the walking, talking snowman, as well as other characters, would be seen at other parks, including Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Additionally, BDX Droids have been around the world, starting with Disneyland in California, then Disneyland Paris, Disney World in Florida, and then offshore aboard Disney Cruise Line.
I’m particularly excited and optimistic that Disney is bringing out Wall-E and Eve, and I’m hopeful that we can see more arrivals of older robots and completely new ones as the work within Imagineering continues to ramp up.
