The tribal elders in the south of Waziristan have reaffirmed their resolution to stop shoulder with the security forces until the elimination of the threat of terror.
A great significant and historical jirga of tribal elders Mehsud and Burki was held in the Spinkai Raghzai area in South Waziristan on Sunday.
Frontier’s body (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) Inspector General attended the tribal meeting as the main guest.
During the Jirga, the tribal elders ranged a rich tribute to the Pakistan army and the FC for their sacrifices to guarantee lasting peace.
They also reaffirmed their resolution to stop shoulder with the security forces until the complete elimination of the threat of Khawarij.
“Khawarij” is a term used to refer to terrorists belonging to Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The main guest recognized the incomparable sacrifices of the tribal people in the fight against TTP.
He also highlighted the importance of the role of the elderly in keeping the youngest generation away from the negative propaganda of the anti-state elements.
He also appreciated the services of local people who have stood out in several fields, describing their dedication, hard work and positive contributions as models to follow for the region.
On the occasion, the IG FC assured the Mehsud tribes that they work in the Gurbaz project to Mangrotai Road would begin soon.
The tribal elders praised the efforts of the Pakistan army and the FC to promote development projects and advance in the education of girls.
