The iPhone 17 series is just around the corner: we expect complete revelations for iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in the “Awe Delpping” event of Apple on September 9.
In the midst of last minute rumors, a remarkable Tipster and Leaker has shared images that supposedly show a new Crossbody belt accessory for the next Apple technological boxes for the iPhone 17 family.
The famous Sonny Dickson Technology Typster shared the images in an X post, which shows a bright orange belt. Deleting, of course, but not exactly exciting on its own. In fact, we have no way to verify Dickson’s statement that this is a real Apple product.
However, if we look back on previous rumors on the cases of Tech Woven mentioned, things begin to rebuild. In August 2025, the fellow Filter Majin Bu shared an image that supposedly shows two Apple Techwoven boxes in box for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. In the rear of one of the boxes, compatibility is mentioned with a “cross -body strap”, which could be the bright orange cord that is shown in Sonny Dickson’s publication.
The ends of the cross strap seem to have some type of cloth or elastic loop, which could link around the spaces in the lower part of the Techwoven case highlighted in a diagram shown in the images that Majin Bu shared. It seems likely that other colors are produced along with the orange, but this is not yet confirmed.
Using your iPhone
Apparently, the combination of Crossbody Strap and Tech Woven cases could allow iphone users to carry their hands -free phone, which, to be fair, would require some certainty in the strength of the belt and the box. It is not a novel concept (manufacturers of cases such as Casetify offer similar cases), but it would be Apple’s first attempt of such a product, so some security or demonstration would be good.
Even so, I am not sure that you get through me with a phone of $ 999 / £ 999 / au $ 1,849 hanging from a piece of fabric. I am sure that Apple would have tried both products extensively before even considering going to the market, but I would still worry about future thieves that detect my new iPhone.
The Crossbody strap also evokes the camera straps, which seems to adapt to the iPhone’s trajectory to photography: several updates of the camera for the iPhone 17 PRO and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are rumored, and there is a very likely that the Chamber Capurer’s Capurer button arrives at the models of this year. For the needs of the daily user, the Crossbody belt could make the iPhone a viable replacement for a camera to aim and shoot.
However, all that is completely speculative for now. Let us know what you think about using your iPhone with the crossbody strap in the comments below.
