- One of A Minecraft movieThe funniest scenes stayed out of the final movie
- Its director has explained why the sequence was not used
- Jared HESS has also revealed what their favorite Easter eggs are MinecraftThe adaptation of the film
A Minecraft movie The director Jared HESS has opened in the “really hilarious” scene that was disappointed to leave out of the final cut of the film.
Before the release of April 4 of the film, I sat down with HESS to discuss his last feature film. And while A Minecraft movie The watches are not exactly on the long side for a family film: it works for an hour and 40 minutes, for their information, he admitted that a few more minutes would have passed if he had gone successfully * Ahem * the mining company for more material.
There is a particular scene that HESS was more annoying for leaving out too. In fact, when I asked if there was something that was considered outside the limits. Minecraft The creator Mojang Studios for film adaptation, HESS said yes. However, his response was unexpected, because it had nothing to do with Mojang telling him what he could not use in the movie distributed by Warner Bros.
Spoilers follow immediately to A Minecraft movie.
“Yes, there were a lot of fun sequences that we wanted to do,” HESS said. “[Popular Minecraft YouTuber] Mumbo Jumbo, who is a redstone genius, was working on a great scene that we simply couldn’t do.
“We had a sequence that involved a giant Piglin robot, which was a Trojan horse type thing that worked through Redstone,” HESS continued. “I guided it by the graphic script, we had complete animatics, and it was a really hilarious scene. But, we simply could not do it.
“Everything we designed for the movie, we wanted to make sure you could really go and do in the game,” he added. “So, even the Steve lava chicken cabin and all those things, we would be like ‘God, are we sure we can do this? Does it work? Well, we go to the game and build it right now. Correct, it is verified. It is bulletproof.’
“It would have been very fun to have that sequence designed by Jumbo Mumbo, but ultimately did not work. He also designed a lot of crazy traps for us too, but we could not also make those work in the limits of our film too.”
‘There are some really special Easter eggs in our movie’
Disappointed although HESS is about the absence of that sequence, there are many Minecraft Easter eggs and broader video game references that he could include in one of the new 2025 films.
From the real physics in the game and the genuine recipes of articles and the elaboration of food, to a large number of flickers and you will miss them objects, HESS and company claimed to fill the film with as many Easter eggs of the games as possible. There are so many secrets, in fact, that Minecraft Devotees and fanatical players must see A Minecraft movie Numerous times to detect them all.
However, there are a couple of surprise additions above all the others, that HESS was more proud than the majority of those that would include.
“There are some really special ones,” he told me. “We have some really surprising Minecrafters that have mini cameos such as Mumbo Jumbo, Dantdm and Aphmau.
“There are a lot of others that I am missing, but there are some funny Easter eggs that I think will realize Die-Ahrd Minecrafters and community members. There is a really special Easter egg that Sebastian Hansen, who plays Henry, occurred to you.
I guess everyone will have to run to see the movie to try to solve what that secret is, then! Before doing so, be sure to read my review of A Minecraft movie To see if it is worth seeing it.
