- OnePlus 15 launches in China on October 27
- We’ll see a global launch sometime after that.
- A new ‘Misty Purple’ color has appeared for the phone
We are slowly getting more and more official information about the OnePlus 15, and now we know when the flagship phone will be released, and OnePlus has also shared another color that the device will come in.
According to the official OnePlus Weibo account (via 9to5Google), the OnePlus 15 will be unveiled in full on October 27 (along with the OnePlus Ace 6), at 7 pm China time. That’s equivalent to 3am PT / 8am ET / 11am GMT / 10pm AEDT worldwide.
There is a caveat here, and that is that this is the official presentation specifically for China. While it should give us all the key specifications about the phone, we won’t have a full global launch, including international pricing, until some time later.
OnePlus has confirmed that the phone will arrive in the rest of the world, although we don’t know exactly when. This phone’s 2024 predecessor, the OnePlus 13, was unveiled in China in October and then launched globally in January 2025.
This is what’s coming
In another official post on Weibo, OnePlus also showed off the OnePlus 15 in three different colors: according to Google Translate, they are the Original Sand Dune and the Absolute Black that we were already expecting, in addition to a new Misty Purple color.
It adds to everything we already know or think we know about this upcoming flagship: part official announcements from OnePlus as it tries to generate hype around the phone, and part leaks and rumors.
It will definitely have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 165Hz display, and that screen will apparently measure 6.78 inches from corner to corner, making it slightly smaller than the phone it replaces.
That phone is, of course, the OnePlus 13, which impressed us a lot. By the way, there won’t be a OnePlus 14 – OnePlus is skipping that number, presumably because it’s considered bad luck in China.
