The second meeting of the Anti -Terrorist Committee was chaired by the Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, in which the Minister of State for the Interior Talal Chaudhry, the Federal Secretary of the Interior, DG FIA, DG passport, National Passport, NACTA, Commissioner Chief Islamabad, National Action Plan Coordinator and representatives of the security agencies participated.

Speaking at the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the Prime Minister, the Army Chief and all interested parties are on the same page regarding the fight against terrorism. No decision will be made without consulting the provinces.
The meeting also reviewed the progress in improving the capacities of the Department of Anti -Terrorism in the provinces.
The Federal Interior Minister emphasized that for effective counterterrorism, it is crucial to fully activate the anti -terrorism departments at the provincial level. In this sense, all possible assistance will be provided to KP and Baluchistan, considering the challenges they face.
In addition, he declared that the FIA anti -terrorism wing will be fully activated at the federal level. The meeting also reviewed the progress in the establishment of fusion evaluation centers and national intelligence.
During the informative session, it was stated that the approval of the establishment of the fusion evaluation centers and national intelligence threats has been granted, and the work is ongoing for the establishment of evaluation centers for the fusion of provincial intelligence and the evaluation of threats in all provinces.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that after the reorganization of the border police, he is becoming the National Reserve Police. During this session, it was agreed to make the explosive materials a federal subject to guarantee a better monitoring.
The meeting also decided to effectively raise the issue of terrorism with the Afghan government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Interior Minister also declared that all institutions must guarantee strict adherence to standard operational procedures (SOP) for the safety of foreign citizens.
