The Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD) said on Saturday that most Sindh parts, including Karachi, will remain in the grip of a heat wave until May 20 due to high sustained atmospheric pressure on the region.

According to the MET office, several Sindh districts will register temperatures significantly above normal. In Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad and Naushahro fierze, temperatures are expected to remain 5 to 7 ° C higher than the average.

Similar deviations in Jacobabad, Sukkur and the surrounding areas are expected, where mercury can also remain from 5 to 7 ° C above seasonal norms.

Meanwhile, it is forecast that temperatures in Badin, Tharparkar, Uumerkot and Hyderabad will remain from 3 to 5 ° C above normal levels during this period.

In Karachi, the weather will remain hot and humid for the next three days, with daytime temperatures that probably vary between 35 and 37 ° C.

The MET Office has warned that, due to high humidity, the temperature similar to sensation will be higher than registered values.
