
Ozzy Osbourne, the pioneer leader of Black Sabbath and “Prince of Darkness” of Heavy Metal, died on July 22, 2025 at age 76.
His family confirmed that his death came after a long battle against Parkinson’s disease and related health complications.
Diagnosed in 2020, Osbourne had progressively worsened symptoms, which include tremors, deteriorated mobility and a decrease in general health.
In recent years, he suffered a severe column injury due to a Quad -Bike accident, which required multiple surgeries and further limited its functioning capacity.
Despite his illness, Osbourne organized a last farewell concert, “Back to the Beginning,” on July 5 in Birmingham, England.
Sitting throughout the show due to a limited ability to walk, he delivered a set of four songs in the presence of original Black Sabbath members

No details were provided about his immediate cause of death. However, medical experts point out that Parkinson’s, especially when they advance, can contribute to fatal complications such as pneumonia, falls and other systemic problems
Surrounded by family, Osbourne died 17 days after his final performance, ending a legendary career defined by gross musical innovation and unwavering resistance.
