- A new iPhone was not expected, not even a track, really
- There are no apologies for the launch of Apple Bad’s intelligence
- There are no holy grail products such as XR glasses or a glucose monitor
Next week, Apple organizes its Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) 2025, which brings together developers and means to discuss what is new and what comes in the world of everything related to Apple. Apple does many things and, more importantly, Apple manufactures the software that executes everything. The Apple developer conference is about software more than anything else, and News hardware will only serve to expand Apple software development.
If I were a betting man, this is my safe bet for the new products that we will see on WWDC 2025: nothing! Apple almost never launches hardware on WWDC. The only time we have something new on WWDC is when it serves to make the developer’s news more interesting.
Of course, this year’s software news could be very interesting, with an important redesign possibly on cards for each Apple operating system, in addition to a new name scheme that will coincide with the update of the year: that is. iOS 26 in 2026. Do we need a new hardware to go with the updated interface? No, but it could generate more emotion.
With that in mind, this is what I No Wait at wwdc 2025
Without hardware, without new iPhone, not even the iPhone 17 Air
If I waited for an advance in the iPhone 17 Air, I doubt Apple let any clue fall on its next thin phone. Even with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge now available, I don’t think Apple ruins the surprise in September, when it launches an iPhone 17 Redesigned family drastically. Showing an iPhone 17 air would give too much today.
Nor would I expect any new iPad model. Apple launched new iPad base models and new iPad air tablets recently, with faster processors inside. There is no reason to launch anything new on WWDC 2025. Even the iPad Mini obtained a recent update, so it is doubtful that we see something new.
Occasionally, Apple announces a new chipset on WWDC, such as the Apple M4 platform. That would be a good reason to get a new MacBook Pro, or possibly an updated iPad Pro model. We have not achieved clues about this, so we do not expect any new MacBook or iPad with an Apple M5, for example.
There is a persistent rumor on an updated Apple Homepod, possibly with a built -in screen. That would make sense for WWDC 2025 because a new screen means new possibilities for developers to load applications. If there is any hardware announced next week, that would be my main commitment.
There are no apulpas by Apple AI, and without retreating
If you think Apple Intelligence has not gone well, you are right, but I would not expect Apple to admit so much, and will definitely not apologize for any of the false steps so far. In fact, I hope we see Apple’s barrel forward with the functions of AI at each level of each operating system.
We are going to get Apple’s intelligence in the Apple Watch, along with more in the iPhone, iPad and Macbooks. The real question is whether Apple will continue to promise the same characteristics that were never materialized: Siri’s ability to read his email and personal information and provide personalized advice, or if there will be any new address, perhaps with new associations to close the gaps in Apple’s abilities.
I think it is most likely that the latter, since developers are currently interested in the ways of integrating existing applications and characteristics with AI. It makes sense that Apple associates more with companies outside OpenAi, while continuing to try to build its own AI infrastructure.
There is no holy grail, either on your wrist or in your face
I hope Apple speaks about Apple Health advances in Apple Watch, but I don’t hope new dramatic capabilities are announced. We will not see improvements in glucose monitoring, for example, or a new hardware that can measure metabolic rates in a non -invasive way.
Apple still has a lot to do in its watches hardware. Google’s Wear Watches and its partners have added features such as the detection of Pulse Zero more characteristics of AI, and the battery life continues to rise on the side of the Wear operating system. Apple has been a bit stagnant with its Watchos progress.
Nor would I expect new facial wearables. Without Apple Vision Pro update, and without new Apple Vision products. We may obtain improved controls for Vision Pro, and perhaps even Real Joystick controllers, but there is no new platform such as XR smart glasses.
