WhatsApp group administrator shot dead in Peshawar

Peshawar:

A man has been accused of murder after allegedly shooting the administrator of a WhatsApp community group that took him out of the chat, police said on Saturday.

Mushtaq Ahmed was shot dead on Thursday night in Peshawar. A man appointed only as Ashfaq has been accused of his murder, according to police documents seen by AFP and a local police officer.

Mushtaq allegedly expelled Ashfaq from the WhatsApp group after a discussion, according to a statement from Mushtaq’s brother seen by AFP. He said that both parties had agreed to meet and reconcile, but alleges that Ashfaq appeared with a gun and opened fire, killing his brother.
