Karachi:
WhatsApp messages sent by a mother accused of killing her two children in Karachi have emerged, shedding light on their participation in crime.
According to the details, the woman, identified as Adeeba, exchanged messages with her ex -husband Ghufran before and after allegedly killing her son and daughter. In a message sent after the murders, Adeeba wrote: “Now you must be happy, do you see what I have done for you?”
Conversations reveal routine discussions in the hours before the incident. At Adeeba’s request, Ghufran had bought clothes from the Day of Independence for children.
The messages also show you asking about your preparations: “Does Zarra have a Kameez Shalwar for tomorrow?” and “Tell Sameeha what to wear tomorrow.”

Other texts included details about the purchase of shoes, organizing green kurtas and decorating with flags. Adeeba also wrote: “Sameeha has prepared for tomorrow, she also has flags with her.” Ghufran responded with photos of the children dressed for the celebrations, to which Adeeba replied: “Mashallah, when were they prepared? Where is the zarra cap?”
Later, she asked her ex -husband if the children had looked for permission to stay the night, to which Ghufran responded with an emoji smile and said yes.
A day before, the police arrested Adeeba and recovered the sharp object he used to cut the throats of his children. According to the authorities, he had a history of mental illnesses and frequent seizures, which led to his divorce last year. The court had granted the custody of the children to their father, Ghufran, who occasionally sent them to visit their mother.
On the day of the incident, the children stayed with Adeeba when it supposedly suffered a seizure and, in a state of mental imbalance, attacked them in the bathroom. The victims were identified as Sameeha, 4.5 years old and Zarrar, seven years old. Police said Adeeba called her ex -husband to confess the murders.
The father and uncle of the children alerted the police through the emergency aid line. The officers arrived at the scene, recovered the bodies and transferred them to the Jinnah hospital for legal procedures.
