The post came in response to Trudeau’s comments about Team Canada defeating the United States in the 4 Nations showdown last year. Trudeau wrote at the time: “You can’t take our country and you can’t take our game.” But Olbermann took issue with the interaction.
“Trump’s Trash White House always acts like it’s never been there before,” the ardent Trump critic wrote on X.
President Donald Trump congratulated Team USA on their victory.

“Congratulations to our great USA Ice Hockey team. WON GOLD. WOW!” he wrote in Truth Social.
“WHAT A GAME!!!” he added. “A LOT OF WINS!!!”
Instead of taking the game, Jack Hughes ripped the hearts of Team Canada fans with his goal in overtime. He managed to get the puck past Canadian goalkeeper Jordan Binnington and take the victory.
Binnington was headed for most of the game. He allowed a goal to Matt Boldy in the first period, but settled down and thwarted most of Team USA’s attack until the end.
