Alicia Silverstone recalls a sweet memory with her late mother, Didi Silverstone.
While commemorating the 30th anniversary of his film, Clueless, On Nov. 12, the 49-year-old actress reflected on one of her favorite scenes from the film.
The actress revealed during a Q&A session at the Jacob Burns Film Center that a special cameo made by her late mother in the 1995 film is close to her heart.
“In the wedding scene, my mom is in the back. And she died six years ago tonight,” he told the crowd, according to a video posted to @jpasc24’s Instagram.
“So it’s really wonderful to have that because I love her and I miss her. It’s very touching to see that moment.”
Alicia spoke about her close bond with her mother and recalled that “I was with her when she passed away” in 2019.
Excited about her mom’s proud moment appearing in one of her big projects, she commented, “She would be very happy that this is happening because she liked all of this.”
“Clueless has been incredible, it delights people. It’s really nice to share something with people that they love,” Alicia added about the film.
This occurred a year after the batman and robin The student paid a heartfelt tribute to Didi along with several snapshots on her Instagram account on Mother’s Day.
“My mom! I wish I could have her back! I hope all the moms are feeling all the love today. Happy Mother’s Day!” Alicia wrote at that time.
