According to the reports, Hoda Kotb is in the “list” of candidates to replace Kelly Clarksson amid reports that the singer is leaving her Diurnal NBC interview program.
On Thursday, a source spilled to The post that the 60 -year -old journalist, who left Today Show in January, is firmly on the list of network names to take care of Kelly’s interview program.
“There is a long list of names and Hoda is part of that list,” said the confidant. “NBC never wanted Hoda to leave. The question is, would he want to do it?”
The source also told the output that NBC producers want to replace Kelly with someone who already has a fan base.
“Hoda marks many boxes. It’s a Kelly Clarkson Egyptian and older,” said a Tipster.
The source confirmed that Hoda already has close relationships with the executives of the Network.
The news occurs after the reports suggested that Kelly is separating from his daytime program as his contract with NBC expires next year.
