Carson Branstine was already a fans’ favorite before entering Wimbledon’s first round against the best classified female tennis player in the world, Aryna Sabalenka.
Branstine, from Canada, starred Texas A&M and helped Aggies to a national championship before becoming a professional. She was able to do the final group for Wimbledon after crossing the classification rounds, defeating the only champion of the Us Bianca Open Andreescu, Raluca Georgiana Serban and Lois Boisson.

However, what captured the attention of social networks before the match against Sabalenka was his status as a fashion model. Branstine is signed with the Wilhelmina models and the Neal Hamil agency.
He opened about financing his tennis dreams through modeling in an interview with journalists before Wimbledon earlier this month.

“I love being in front of the camera during a session. It’s fun, I love fashion. It has been one of the reasons why I have been able to pay some of my trips. I didn’t want to ask my parents for anything, I wanted everything to come from me and my tennis,” he said, through Clay.
“I was not signed by these agencies due to my tennis, it was for my appearance. Modeling and tennis are strangely similar, you are a lot of object and people sometimes forget that you are also a person.”
While Branstine fell to Sabalenka in straight sets, she gave her a berous race for her money in the second set, losing 7-5.

She held the 194th position in the world before facing Sabalenka. He has 136 victories in his career and seven titles in international events of the Tennis Federation.
