Ben Shelton was serving the game in the Wimbledon championship on Thursday, but he had to wait until the next day to do so.
That is because his second round against Rinky Hijikata was suspended due to darkness.
Shelton led, 6-2, 7-5, 5-4, when the game was called, and was clearly not happy: the game was suspended at 9:29 pm local time, and both players had presented arguments to suspend the game before in the game.

Shelton approached the referee and had to be arrested by another official to calm him.
Well, Shelton and Hijikata returned to the court early Friday to finish the game, and it took a minute to do so, when Shelton advanced to the third round.
“It was difficult. At that time, we knew we were playing in conditions that were not ideal for tennis. For me, it was like, what is one more game at that time? ‘ Shelton said after the game.

“I had not broken the whole game. I haven’t broken from my first set in my first round, and I felt sure to come here with a service game to finish it.”
Shelton said he was not sure of his plans for the day, discussing whether he should practice, considering that on Friday he was originally scheduled to be a free day for the 10th player in the world.
“It’s different. I warmed up for 30 minutes, then I spent a minute on the court. It spent much more time in the preparation than the real game,” he said.

Shelton will face Marton Focsovics of Hungary in the third round on Saturday. His best end in Wimbledon lasted until the fourth round last year: he has made the semifinals in the Australian and the United States.
