- Windows 11 has a new feature for Android mobiles in test compilations
- Allows synchronization of PC clipboard directly to the phone
- This ability is agile and receptive based on early tests
Windows 11 is obtaining a new capacity for those who have linked their Android phone with their PC, namely a feature that allows the clipboard of the desk operating system to synchronize with the mobile device.
Windows Latter discovered functionality in a recent recent compilation of Windows 11 (from the DEV channel), then enabled it and tested it.
It works through the link application to Windows, so you must have it configured on your smartphone, and then the function can be activated in the Windows 11 configuration. The only other stipulation is that you must also use the same Microsoft account on the PC and the mobile.
If that is the case, when it enables ‘Access PCs Portapple’ in the mobile devices panel in the configuration application (and has activated the clipboard history), which is on the clipboard of its PC will be transferred to its Android clipboard.
Last Windows observes that the function works without problems and very quickly. The technology site tried to copy a lump of text on its PC with Windows 11 and was “immediately” available to paste on the GBOARD keyboard on your Android phone. It is possible to access the clipboard through any keyboard application, the site observes more, not just GBOARD.
In addition, keep in mind that this is only for Android smartphones, not for iPhones (at least not yet anyway).
Analysis: Microsoft is reinforcing the Windows 11 telephone powers
It is good to see this synchronization capacity of the incoming clipboard for Windows 11, assuming that you do it through the tests (and I do not see why I would not). Windows most recent tested the function several times and discovered that it worked well, and was also very agile to transfer the text of the clipboard.
That could be a real time when you have something on your PC that normally, say, send an email to yourself to access your phone. Instead, you can highlight and copy that text message on the PC, and will be there on your smartphone ready to paste when you pick up the mobile.
Microsoft has been busy trying to develop the integration of smartphones with Windows 11 in the recent past, as noted. That includes aside on a panel that floats on the side of the start menu that is bristle with details related to the phone (and recent activity of your mobile), and the ability to block your PC remotely with your phone, to choose a couple of the most interesting presentations this year.
Do not forget that another incoming feature will allow Windows 11 users to resume what they were doing previously in a compatible application on their Android mobile (as well as Apple’s transfer), and the synchronization of the clipboard is combined very well with that convenience.
