- The telephone link panel connected to the start menu is obtaining a new function
- It will allow Windows 11 users to start the screen reflection with a single click
- Is in tests before a complete launch that could start soon
Microsoft is bringing a new Windows 11 trick for those who use the application of the phone link, which allows you to quickly and easily reflect the screen of an Android smartphone on the desktop.
The latest Windows reports that the new function is currently being implemented in Windows 11 evaluators, and is part of the telephone link panel that is connected to the start menu (in fact, the deployment of said panel also began relatively recently, and I will return to that later).
For the uninitiated, the telephone link panel is turned off to the right side of the start menu and offers easy access to their messages, called, in addition to the recent activity on your phone and shows several state details (such as battery life).
To access the new function, all you have to do is click on the icon of your smartphone, on the top of the panel, and turn on a screen reflex session.
You do not need to start the phone application application or do anything else; Simply click on the icon and Windows 11 will reflect the screen of your Android phone on the desk there and then (well, given a few seconds to load and synchronize).
Analysis: Be patient with deployment
The most recent Windows tested the function on several Samsung Galaxy smartphones and observes that it works well, and that Oneui, the interface for Samsung Mobiles, is implemented without problems on the PC desktop.
Of course, only certain Android devices work with the screen polishing function of the telephone link application (and this new feature). That includes Samsung Galaxy models, and also ASUS phones (Rog-Bringing), Honor, OnePlus, Oppo, Surface Duo, Vivo and Xiaomi (here is the complete list of compatible phones).
As mentioned, the new quick access for the screen reflex through the panel on the start menu side is in the tests now, but it should be implemented in the Windows 11 launch version in June, says Windows Last. That could even mean as of today (June 10), since a new cumulative update for Windows 11 must be later today.
Even so, it is likely that the deployment of this new feature is limited to start, because not everyone has the telephone link panel for the start menu yet. Officially, the deployment of the panel began in April for those in Windows 11 23h2 and 24h2, but the broader availability did not happen until May, and for what I can say about the reports in some online forums, some people are still waiting for this to arrive.
However, it should be imminent at this point, even if this new shortcut for screen reflection may not arrive for a time even more (you can bet on that).
In summary, telephone link users with compatible devices only need to keep the patient for now, and all these treats will appear on time. Microsoft is looking for considerably deeper integration with Windows 11 and mobile phones, also, given apparent plans to resume the use of applications on their PC and telephone in a perfect way, as well as Apple’s transfer capacity.
