- The rumored portable mode of Windows 11 has been seen in the tests
- However, it is still hidden at the bottom of prior view compilations
- This is a clue that Microsoft is stepping on the gas with development, perhaps to prepare this mode for the launch of the Allied of Asus Xbox
The portable mode of Windows 11 could reach before what we thought, based on unearthed clues in a recent preview of the operating system compilation.
A portable mode would be designed to use Windows 11 in a portable game system, such as Xbox Asus Rog as an incoming, transforming the interface into something more convenient for a compact screen (and Gamepad controls instead of the mouse).
A regular filter in X, Phantomofearth, only saw what seems to be the initial configuration experience for Windows 11 on a hand computer, as you can see in the publication below.
This was found in Preview Build 26100.4762 of Windows 11, which reached the launching channel last week (the final stage before the finished version of the operating system).
Windows Latest saw the previous publication, and also dug its own excavation in other compilations of prior view (on the DEV channel, a previous testing), discovering references to an interface optimized by the game. (As well as a ‘cloud host environment’ for a ‘Gamepad -based device’, which triggers the interface interface to be used, which serves the controls and buttons based on pads).
Another inhabitant of X in that thread also observes that there are references in the Windows 11 code to ‘Gaming Handhelds’, all of which indicate that there is currently a lot of work in the bowels of the desk operating system to facilitate a new hand experience.
ANALYSIS: Step the gas
There has been a lot of dissatisfaction around the hands of the games that use Windows 11, because the design of the operating system often does not adapt to a smaller screen, as mentioned. The elements that are fine and work well in a large desktop monitor can be simple on a portable screen, and in general, Windows 11 can be painful compared to the experience provided by Steamos (which has an interface designed for portable games).
A dedicated hand mode has been rumored for Windows 11 that softens many of the problems that are inherent to the operating system in this form of form, and it seems that it is getting closer and more.
It is not surprising that Microsoft is apparently putting your foot on the accelerator pedal, given, since the Xbox Asus ally is expected to arrive later this year (even if it takes into account that the launch date has not been officially issued).
I am excited to see how this new interface develops, to say at least, and Microsoft has already been working to make Windows 11 more functional on a hand computer with changes in the Xbox application and the game bar.
While the unearthed code is previously in the prior view channel of the version, which as noted is a step before the version, remember that it is still hidden in the background, so it does not wait for an imminent arrival.
We should begin to see more pieces of the puzzle falling instead (in the tests) soon enough, long before the Allied Asus Xbox arrives (hopefully with a price label too strong, although the rumors are not favorable in that score).
