- Wix announces associating monotype imaging
- The association will make the new sources arrive at the Wix website builder platform
- The new sources are now live and accessible to all Wix and Wix Studio users
Wix users can now use some of the most popular sources in the world, such as Helvetica or Avenir, thanks to a new association with Monotype Imaging. Earlier this week, the popular Builder website announced a new strategic association with Monotype Imaging, one of the world’s largest sources license.
As a result, Wix users can now enjoy a broader spectrum of high quality fonts to improve their content and better demonstrate their creativity.
Among the sources, the monotype has and the distributions are Helvetica, Arial, Times New Roman, Future, Avenir and Century Gothic. The company also offers new classics, such as Recoleta, Kibitz Pro and Aether. However, not all types of Monotype will be available.
After consulting with Monotype type design experts, Wix chose which sources to offer, from “professional commercial needs” to “playful and personal projects” and “agencies that build custom web experiences with a variety of sources.”
New features
For Hagit Kaufman, brand and design vice president in Wix, the typography is “an important aspect of web design”, and by expanding the supply of sources, Wix “allows creators to produce visually convincing websites and content that really reflects the personality of the brand.”
The new sources are now live and accessible to all Wix and Wix Studio users, it was said in the press release.
In recent months, Wix has been working hard, adding new tools and characteristics for its website construction community. At the end of April of this year, it introduced a new application of adaptive content with AI that generates and modifies the content of the website based on administrator entries and the characteristics of visitors. A few weeks before, in mid -March, it introduced a new interface without code, WIX functions, which allow customers to create personalized flows and commercial elements such as dynamic price rules, payment conditions and custom loyalty rewards without the need for any coding experience.
