Caitlin Clark opened during his departure interview on Thursday about the litany of the injuries at the bottom of the body that limited the Indiana fever star to only 13 games in his second campaign.

Clark, 23, spoke with journalists after Las Aces de Las Vegas took the playoff fever on Tuesday.

“I have been working very hard to return to health and I feel that, probably, during these last weeks it is when I probably began to feel my best,” Clark said through the New York Post.

Initially, Clark hurt his left groin and his quad. He played again after recovering from those injuries, but suffered an injury to the right groin before the break of the stars.

In addition to those injuries, Clark said he suffered a bone hematoma in the left ankle while trying to increase in early August.

“My ankle didn’t really allow me to see where my groin was,” Clark said. “I simply went to make a movement and, unfortunately, my ankle knew completely forward and probably one of the worst sprains I have treated.”

“But I have tried to stay positive (the best) that I can, but honestly I feel that I am in a really good place. People do not always realize … when you are injured, it is honestly more work than when you play.”

The fever star said that sitting apart fighting with the injuries taught him some lessons.

“There were) certainly a few difficult days,” Clark said. “I think he taught me (I) how to be a very good leader, how to be a really good teammate and how to empathize (with) your teammates in certain situations. When you are in the heat of the battle, your emotions are high and you feel things differently … when you are on the sidelines and you don’t have a shirt, you can observe and really observe people and learn about people.”

Clark announced in early September that he would not return for the season due to his injuries. Nor is it playing unmatched, the 3 × 3 female basketball league, this low season, according to first office sports.

Unmatched he is entering his second season, and Clark did not play in the first of the League last year, choosing to rest.

Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and five rebounds in 31.1 minutes per game in his 13 games this season.

The fever, despite not having Clark, Sophie Cunningham and others due to an injury, led the Aces 5 of the WNBA semifinals.
