“The safety and welfare of all in our sands is a priority for our league. Objects of any kind launched to the court or in the seat area can represent a safety risk for players, game officials and fans,” reads the statement. “In line with WNBA Arena’s security standards, any fanatic who intentionally throws an object to the Court will be immediately expelled and will face a minimum one year prohibition in addition to being subject to arrests and prosecution by local authorities.”
Players and coaches have continued to speak against interruptions.
