Balouch was attacked near Bara Pani and then rescued in a wounded condition. Hospital staff said his two arms were injured in the incident, but was transferred to the Skardu Regional Hospital, where doctors confirmed that he is stable and out of danger.
Giligit Baltistan spokesman Faizullah Faraq said that under the new restrictions, no tourist or traveler can camp during the night in Deosai.
Often described as the “land of the giants”, Deosai is one of the highest plateaus in the world, which extends more than 3,000 square kilometers to an altitude greater than 13,000 feet. The winded plateau, carpet of wild flowers in the summer, is the home of the rare wildlife, including the brown of the Himalayas in danger of extinction, the Las Nieves Leopard, the Ibex, the golden marmot, the lynx, the musk deer and several species of migratory birds.
The GB Government said that the prohibition of camping was imposed to guarantee the safety of visitors and protect the fragile alpine ecosystem, which conservationists say that it is increasingly under pressure from growing tourism.
