A 60 -year -old woman died and her three daughters were injured during an alleged act of police violence during a raid in Kamoke.
The incident occurred in Dera Ameer Afzal in Toliki Road, in the jurisdiction of the Saddar Kamoke Police Station, when the police, directed by Thus Rao Inam, made a raid to arrest the suspects involved in a dispute.
The victim’s husband, Arif, declared that around 11:30 pm, thus Rao Inamullah, along with six of his colleagues, entered his home by force without the presence of women’s police, assaulted his wife and daughters, and even took a Umrah ticket, RS90,000 in cash, and an engine belonging to his son when they left.
He also said that the raid was not justified since the family had already secured an interim bond in the related case, which was a domestic dispute with family members.
During the raid, according to the reports, Irshad Bibi, 60, took a step forward to protect her husband, at which time Rao Inam supposedly hit her in the chest, which made her collapse. When their daughters, Zainab, Misbah and Uroj intervened, they were also supposedly beaten and dragged by their hair. Irshad Bibi was taken to the hospital with the help of neighbors, where he succumbed to his wounds.
After the media report, Cpo Rana Ayaz Saleem ordered the SSP Rizwan Tariq operations to investigate. CPO said it was discovered that thus Rao Inam made the raid without informing his sho and was initially responsible.
