Workers threaten protest throughout the country


Islamabad:

A manifestation of protest was carried out in the Federal Capital on the occasion of the federal budget under the leadership of several federations and unions, including the Federation of Workers of Pakistan, the Federation of United Employees United by Pakistan, the Capital Development Authority Mazdoor Union, the Federation of Community Health Workers of Pakistan and all employees of the Government of the Government Coordination Council. Hundreds of employees from all over Pakistan participated in the protest.

Directing the protesters, the Labor leaders said that inflation is increasing day by day. Workers in Pakistan face immense pressure due to the increase in inflation, low wages and an uncertain future. They demanded that the authorities increase the salaries and pensions of employees by 100% in proportion to inflation.

They also demanded that the minimum salary increase at RS60,000, stop the privatization of institutions, institutions are released from the contract and ad-hoc systems, and pension reforms are withdrawn.

They issued a warning that if the demands of government employees are not addressed immediately, a national protest will be launched.
