According to the sources, the World Bank delegation, consisting of 9 executive directors, has already met with the prime minister and other senior officials.

The delegation is scheduled to meet with the Minister of Finance of Pakistan, the Minister of Economic Affairs, the Minister of Planning and the Minister of Energy, during which the discussions will focus on the effective implementation of $ 40 billion in funds.

This marks the first visit to Pakistan by the World Bank Executive Directors in 20 years, and will discuss strategies for the successful implementation of the framework of the Association of Countries.

During his visit, the World Bank delegation will travel the Tarbela Lake and the power plant to review the expansion work. In addition, the delegation will also visit Taxila.

According to a statement issued by the press wing of the Prime Minister’s office, the prime minister met with a delegation by the Executive Directors of the World Bank, where he welcomed his visit to Pakistan.

He highlighted the long -standing association between the World Bank and Pakistan, which covers more than seven decades. Many important projects supported by the World Bank have played a key role in the development of the country.

The Prime Minister declared that Pakistan has greatly benefited from his association with the World Bank, particularly during the floods of 2022 when the World Bank provided substantial assistance to those affected.
