Pia Toscano and Noah Reid sang their respective countries’ national anthems Saturday night before the first pitch of Game 7 of the World Series, and they completely brought the house down.
“American Idol” contestant Toscano performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” and Reid, who has dual U.S.-Canadian citizenship, sang “O Canada.”

“See you all tonight! Game 7 of the World Series!” Toscano wrote in a post on his Instagram Stories. “It is a great honor to sing the American anthem.”
Reid also posted photos of himself on the field at Rogers Centre.
“It’s a great honor to be able to sing O Canada tonight at Game 7 of the World Series,” he captioned the post on Instagram. “Anyone who knows me knows my unconditional love for the Blue Jays. I am very proud of this team, this city, this country, and it is the honor of my life to be part of this historic moment. GO BLUE JAYS!!!!”

The players and managers of both teams stood with their caps over their hearts while both songs were sung.
The Blue Jays nearly defeated the Dodgers in Game 6 on Friday night, but the valiant comeback attempt failed in the ninth inning when Los Angeles was able to work out a game-ending double play.

Toronto is looking to win its first World Series since 1993. Los Angeles is hoping to become the first repeat champion since the New York Yankees did so in 1999 and 2000.
