Donovan Dijak will be one of the 40 men who compete in Battle Riot VII on Saturday with the World Heavyweight Championship of the Major Leagues (MLW) at play.
It will be the fourth rumble type event of Djak’s career, having competed in Ott Loco Rumble in February, new in the best of 2017 and Dreamwave Good as Gold Rumble in 2016. He told Pak Gazette Digital in a recent interview that was even more excited that Battle Riot had more bets.

Donovan Dijak in MLW Fightland (MLW)
“It is very exciting, especially now that it is for MLW’s World Heavyweight Championship, which in my eyes is the most prestigious championship in all the professional struggle. I can’t wait to have an opportunity and capitalize it,” he said.
“Obviously, always a great event. You never know who is going to leave, but you know with certainty that I will be there. So, once the dust has settled, I think I will be standing maintaining that world mlw championship, and I am very excited about that opportunity. I can not wait to put the company on my back, on my shoulders and take us throughout the year.
Dijak made his debut in August at Summer of the Beasts in New York City and, since then, he has felt his presence in MLW.
He defeated Tom Lawlor in Superfight 6 and beat Kenta in Kings of Colosseum, but lost to Matt Riddle in Eric Bischoff’s shot in December for disqualification.
Riddle is now in the precarious position of having to defend his title against another 39 men. For DJAK to win, “it would mean everything” for him.

“I am not a person who has had many championships in my name,” he told Pak Gazette Digital. “I have not had a ton of championship accessories that attach me. I have been very vocal in the fact that in terms of the great scheme of the professional struggle, there is really no one, not only now, but has had the success I have had in the professional struggle industry without any great championship praise.

“I almost have a pride point at this time because it is as if I saw myself as one of the, and not only myself, but I think that most people would see me as one of the main talents in the world of professional struggle. So, the fact that I can do that without the flagship of an important attached championship really speaks as a testimony of my own sacrifice and dedication and hard work with the professional industry.”
Djak made it clear that being with MLW for almost eight months has been an “absolute pleasure.”
“They give me time and focus and dedication that correspond to them. Therefore, it is a collaboration effort on both sides of that, and I am really appreciative for that level of investment and that level of dedication, because that is what I love about the professional struggle,” he said. “I love that nobody is right, nobody is wrong. We all work together to discover what we believe is the best possible situation and presentation, and I love that we are all on the same page in terms of that.
“I think that fans, ultimately, are those who obtain the reward for that because they experience the product of so many intelligent minds that work together.”
MLW is one of the main wrestling promotions in the United States competing for time and space in the industry panorama with competition apparently hardening even more during the last year.

Dajak said MLW has been in a “constant trajectory up for a long time” and expects the trend to rise even more in the coming months.
“I am the type of person who is never satisfied or satisfied with what is currently happening,” he told Pak Gazette Digital. “I am always looking for two steps ahead, three steps ahead, four steps ahead. So I worry next month, I worry in six months, next year or two years. I am always waiting and thinking about how we can improve and how we can increase, and that will continue to be my goal.

“And I know that if I have the opportunity to launch that and lead that burden, that will create unprecedented growth and opportunities.”
