The WWE star, the MIZ, will be among the golfers in the field for the 36th installment of the prestigious celebrity golf tournament of the Century American Championship.
The golfers will begin to practice in the Edgewood Tahoe golf course in South Lake Tahoe on the border of California and Nevada from July 9 to 13.
The Miz, whose real name is Mike Mizanin, told Pak Gazette Digital in a recent interview that he is looking to recover in this year’s event after finishing towards the bottom of the field last year.

“I am so dedicated to doing well at the ACC that I started my own Golf YouTube channel called ‘Miz Golf’ and, literally, I am training with the best of the best: George Gankas, James Leadbetter. As, whatever, I am training for it. I feel very good. I feel that my swing is better than it has ever been,” he said.
“My understanding of the game has improved a lot … I know what to do. It is just that you apply more these rules and get representatives, representatives and representatives.
“So, I feel very safe, very well. I’m going out, I’m going to beat Charles Barkley this year, and I’m not going to be in the tail as is usually Sunday. I feel that I will be at least in the middle of the pack.”
The ACC field is full of famous athletes and actors, from Stephen Curry and Tony Romo to Colin Jost and Ray Romano. Any average joe could be easily skilled playing with and against those who see on the basketball court.
For the MIZ, most of the pressure it feels comes from the crowd and television cameras.

“I feel the audience pressure,” he said, explaining that when he goes to golf on weekends in a regular course, there is usually no one looking at him. “Here (in Edgewood), there are thousands of people. So, you get an adrenaline when they announce your name as your Woods tiger.
“And you go up there, and you can’t even feel your club in your hands because your adrenaline goes, your nerves go a lot. And simply pray to God that literally your swing hits the ball, and comes out straight.”
Charles Barkley is usually one of the old athletes who participates in the field. It ended 58th last year between Gary Sheffield and the famous chef Bobby Fly.
The Miz recalled the first time he played at the ACC and was paired with Barkley.
“Everyone told me: ‘Hey, at least you will defeat Charles, right? At least you will beat Charles, right?'” The Miz to Pak Gazette Digital recalled. “Charles no golf as seen on YouTube. That was a long time ago. He has trained. His swing is incredible. I saw Charles Barkley hit the ball and I was: ‘Oh, no. He will not beat me, and everyone will make fun of me because everyone knows Charles for that hitch. But he no longer has that harassed. He really plays very, very well.
“So, I mean, simply walking through the course, being intimidated by Charles Barkley, whom everyone said I was going to win, it is a moment in my mind.”
In general, Miz said that Edgewood Tahoe’s golf course is located in his five best golf courses he has played, and looks forward to the tournament.
The tournament will also raise money for local and national beneficial organizations. The event is a 54 holes Stableford format in which the golfers won points for each hole depending on the score along. The golfer who achieves the greatest number of points wins.

Former Tennis Star Mardy Fish won the tournament last year. Stephen Curry was the winner in 2023. The Golden State Warriors star will return to the field in July.
