When Trump returned to office, he named Linda McMahon Secretary of Education. WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque was at the White House when Trump signed an executive order reestablishing the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition and the Presidential Fitness Test.

“While I have been concerned about WWE’s close relationship with Donald Trump for several months, especially in light of his administration’s continued cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants (and virtually anyone who ‘looks like an immigrant’), reading the President’s incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the last straw for me,” Foley wrote on Instagram.

Trump’s comments about Rob Reiner sparked a backlash from Republican leaders on Monday.

“I no longer wish to represent a company that coddles a man seemingly so lacking in compassion while leading our country toward autocracy,” Foley continued. “Last night I informed @WWE Talent Relations that I would not be making any appearances for the company while this man remains in office.

“Also, I will not be signing a new contract with Legends when my current one expires in June. I love WWE, I will always treasure my time with them, and I deeply appreciate all the opportunities they have given me. But, in the words of Popeye the Sailor, ‘I take all I can, and I can’t take any more.'”

Pak Gazette Digital reached out to WWE for comment on Foley’s impending departure.

Foley was a three-time WWE Champion who performed in multiple promotions and took many hits in a Hell in a Cell cage while participating in brutal tough matches.
