- The Yamaha True X Surround 90A is a new Dolby Atmos from four boxes
- 12 ascending shooting drivers, four oval drivers of complete range and three tweeters in the bar
- Recently developed subwoofer, and rear speakers are also independent Bluetooth speakers
What is better than having a couple of Dolby Atmos speakers that shoot ascending? Have a dozen of them. That is what Yamaha has delivered in its new Nunde 90a sound bar system of the sound bar X True X, also known as the SR-X90A.
The True X Surround 90A is a high -end house film sound bar system, with high specification, with Dolby Atmos and DTS: X Support, and that is based on the true X 40 and 50 models of the firm, while incorporating technology from the Yamaha sound projectors range.
According to Yamaha, it offers “an incredible home film experience that goes beyond the scope of conventional sound bars.”
Yamaha True X Surround 90A: key features and prices
The SR-X90A takes the same beam technology from the YSP-1 sound bar and applies it to a dozen speakers that shoot with Yamaha YDA-141 amplifier. There are six speakers dedicated to the height channels that are projected up at each end of the speaker, and according to Yamaha, the results rival the true speakers mounted on the roof.
The best sound bars of Dolby Atmos tend to use four fired speakers (in the case of the Samsung HW-Q990F) or even five in the case of LG S95AR. Some Dolby Atmos of custom installation theaters can use six speakers on the ceiling. 12 speakers that shoot is … hardcore.
The sound bar also presents the surround processing: AI of the Yamaha AV receptors, which is the first time it is made available to a sound bar.
Those speakers that are fired in form are associated with newly developed oval oval controllers, which Yamaha says that a powerful audio can offer without making the sound bar massive. There are four of these large oval controllers to cover the full frequency range, along with three tweeters. The speakers are fixed in the left, central and right settings in the front of the sound bars.
There is also a recently developed subwoofer, which maintains the patented symmetric Bengal port of Yamaha, and that has an internal plate to control the air flow to reduce the vibrations of air turbulence and the movement of the speakers. Yamaha says that the noise of the port is reduced by up to 20DB compared to more conventional designs.
The True X Surround 90A uses the true wireless connectivity X of Yamaha for sound speakers, subwoofer and satellite, and the rear speakers with which it comes can also be used as independent Bluetooth speakers.
The system also has the Yamaha Musiccast network system for several rooms and customization and configuration in the application, and is also compatible with Apple AirPlay.
The True X Surround 90A will be available as of September 2025 with a recommended retail price of £ 2,499 (around $ 3,300 / Au $ 5,133): You can expect a more concrete price of the USA.
But before that, you can expect our early verdict in this sound bar: it is on its way to us, and this seems a very exciting addition to the world of the best sound bars.
