Yom-e-Takbeer: a symbol of unity and strength

Moments arrive in the history of nations when a leader must make a bold decision, one that prioritizes national sovereignty and security above all. Such decisions record the name of the leader in history, ensuring that they are remembered and revered during generations. On May 28, 1998, it stands as one of those historical days, when Pakistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, increased with dignity on the world stage and was recognized as nuclear energy. This historic day was called Yom-E-Takbeer. India had performed nuclear tests on May 11, 1998, in an attempt to dominate the region and affirm its superiority. However, Nawaz Sharif, which resisted the immense international pressure, including an aid offer of $ 5 billion in the United States, chose to defend Pakistan’s dignity and independence. On May 28, 1998, Pakistan conducted six nuclear tests in Chaghai, effectively neutralizing India’s nuclear stance and establishing itself as the first and only nuclear energy in the Islamic world. This bold decision reached a significant cost. Nawaz Sharif and his government faced intense international pressure, economic sanctions and isolation. However, the people of Pakistan were firmly behind their leadership, sending a clear message to the world: Pakistan would never compromise their sovereignty or national integrity. Now, 27 years later, that same unwavering resolution has been witnessed again. On May 7, 2025, India once again tried aggression against Pakistan. But under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan responded with full strength. The nation was linked, shoulder to shoulder with its government and armed forces, reinforcing the national resolution. On May 10, Pakistan pronounced a historical blow to Indian aggression, which forced him to retire. The success of this operation reverberated worldwide. The world witnessed the power of JF-17 Jets Thunder of Pakistan, J-10C aircraft, Fatah and Shaheen Ballistic Systems missiles. International media, particularly the Western media, highlighted the humiliating defeat of India, while the Indian media reduced the false propaganda propagation, were exposed and forced to retract their manufactured statements. The arrogance and military adventurer of India fulfilled an overwhelming response. Prime Minister Modi and his media allies stayed to endure the shame of defeat. The cyber war capabilities of Pakistan further disoriented the Indian command structures, which forced India to retreat.
