When Gemini Advanced customers go to the home page, they will now get the options for 2.0 Flash Experimental and 2.0 Experimental Advanced in the drop-down menu at the top of the screen. There are still options to use the old 1.5 Pro, 1.5 Flash 1.5 Pro with Deep Research.
If you choose Gemini 2.0 Flash Experimental or Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced, you will continually receive warnings that the AI ”may not work as expected” before each response, indicating that this is still a beta version. Gemini app mobile users are still on 1.5 Flash LLM.
I tried the new 2.0 Experimental Advanced and it seems to work as well as the older LLMs for most things, although 2.0 Flash Experimental kept trying to generate an image of what I asked of it, even though it hadn’t. for an image.
