The company is officially bringing the virtual child, an old rarity widely considered one of the worst consoles never launched.
An early attempt of virtual reality, came out in 1995 and was a gigantic critical and commercial failure. Looking like a strange pair of lobster glasses, the headphones were uncomfortable to wear, greatly expensive and could only play red and black titles.

As confirmed in the presentation, Nintendo Switch online + Expansion Pack subscribers can play virtual select games from February 17, 2026.
