Highlights message of hope, peace and unity through Christmas carols and cultural presentations

ISLAMABAD:
The Youth Development Association organized a vibrant and spirit-filled Christmas celebration, bringing together inner-city children, a community school, partner institutions and media representatives to commemorate the true message of Christmas: hope, peace and joy.
The program began with a welcome message and highlighted the importance of Christmas as a time of light, unity and compassion. This was followed by a prayer, seeking blessings for peace and harmony.
A biblical reading and reflection on Isaiah were presented, emphasizing the message of light conquering darkness and the promise of hope for all humanity.
The cultural segment featured a series of interesting and moving performances by students from St Mary’s Education Centre. The youth of the Youth Development Association (YDA) jointly performed a Christmas carol in Urdu.
Students from St Mary’s School presented a carol and painting, followed by a meaningful Nativity performance by St Paul’s Orthodox Church Sunday School.
The audience was further delighted by a carol performed on musical instruments by St Mary’s students, as well as another carol and painting presented by Sunday School children, showcasing the enthusiasm and talent of the young participants. The celebrations continued with a performance by YDA staff with a Christmas carol in English, reflecting teamwork and festive spirit.
