- YouTube is testing a new premium function that shows that you recommend videos in your playback tail
- The new feature could facilitate adding its video tail without having to use the start tab or search function
- As is, the function does not show videos related to what you are already watching
YouTube has been working hard on its tests and new additions to its YouTube premium service, and is now experiencing with a new feature that could change the way it cures its video playback tail. His last test shows a new list of ‘recommended videos’ in his tail ‘now reproducing’, apparently to facilitate his tail.
Found in the ‘Experimental characteristics’ section, a dedicated space where YouTube launches the characteristics of the Premium subscribers, YouTube has been experiencing with the addition of a list of ‘recommended videos’ in its playback tail, which means that you could add videos to its tail without having to leave the page. Follow the rumors of the YouTube audio quality control function, and the Android Police have fallen its claws to obtain scoop on the new experiment.
As the Android police also highlights, video tails in the YouTube application are manually created by the user and currently cannot automatically play recommended videos. According to the report, users will still have to manually add videos of the new list of ‘recommended videos’ if they want them to be reproduced in the tail. This comes with the slight inconvenience that the videos suggest it, it is possible that it is not completely related to what you are currently playing, an eyebrow rise.
A convenient time savings or an unnecessary filling function?
As you probably know, YouTube already offers video recommendations when you use the search bar function and on your home page depending on your watch habits. The new feature could lift the inconvenience of having to move constantly between its playback and other pages in the application to complete a tail. However, unless I offer me content related to what I am already seeing, I am not completely sure where I am yet. I will probably try independently.
I often find me having to use these two functions when I am filling a YouTube tail to build a flow without video problems, but creating a tail is difficult, especially when you don’t know what to see. That is why I like the function of ‘recommended songs’ by Spotify at the bottom of each personalized playlist, because it is a safe function to resort when I reach a wall adding songs to a playlist with a certain atmosphere.
Musical videos are my YouTube content option. Let’s say, for example, I have added a handful to my tail, and I am trapped with what to add next. The list of ‘recommended videos’ would make my user experience even more pleasant if it was full of related musical videos instead of random fodder. But perhaps this is the next step for YouTube if the initial deployment of the function is successful.
