I see 3, the video that changes the game with the audio generator is changing payment to a free version inside the YouTube shorts.
The YouTube CEO, Neal Mohan, announced the pending change during a speech at the Cannes Lions marketing event in France. “I am incredibly excited about the potential of AI tools to empower human creativity,” said Mohan, before revealing that I see 3 would arrive in shorts “at the end of this summer.”
The inclusion of I see 3 follows I see 2, which allows creators to add funds and videos generated by the YouTube shorts. However, I see 3, from Google’s Deepmind division, it is a different color.
Google, who also has YouTube, presented the generative platform in May during Google I/or as part of Gemini Ultra. It has the unprecedented capacity to generate synchronized video and audio in a single pass according to your message.
It is not surprising that I see 3 reach the YouTube shorts. A casual look at the rival Tiktok reveals thousands of clips I see 3, with everything from fictional comedies and commercials (already strange) to false news reports.
If there has been any limiting factor to I see 3, it has been part of the Premium Gemini Ultra platform, which can cost up to $ 249.99 per month. Gemini Pro ($ 19.99 per month) also has access, but is limited to one or two clips of 8 seconds per day.
I see 3 on the YouTube shorts will be, Youtube confirmed for me, for free.
This is a game change. It means that suddenly YouTube shorts will be the destination to generate wild videos full of audio, and could lead to a little drainage of the activity generated by the Tiktok AI (and its application of complementary video editing, Capcut).
Although, according to the reports, YouTube shorts have more monthly active users, Tiktok has the overwhelming majority of the audience of generation Z. At least, this update can reverse the Tiktok video flow to shorts and reels, to ai video first shared in shorts and then to Tiktok and reels.
“I think these tools will open new creative lanes for everyone to explore,” said Mohan.

I did this in I see 3 as a kind of tribute to a classic vine that I am sure of @brittlestar, @jonathanscott and @mrdrewscott remember. 🔈 The original was more fun. pic.twitter.com/9SyBQT1Q9VJune 2, 2025
As I wrote earlier this year, the introduction of I see 3 is a true moment “Talkies” for the video of AI. Although we have had powerful tools such as Openai Sora for almost a year, there has been no way to easily make a completely written AI video with audio dialogue until I see 3. I have used it to create fantastic videos with dinosaurs and almost recreate the first YouTube video.
It is not that I watch 3 make a long -term AI movie without its entrance. The instructions of VI 3 require details at the script level, which include dialogue, descriptions of scenes, camera angles, shooting styles and anything else I may think to tell I see 3 about its production. And everything should be in the form of a warning.
I see 3 is not perfect. The videos created through the platform is usually presented in 8 second segments that can lack some continuity (I have noticed how the appearance of the main character subtly changes from one scene to another). However, this will probably be solved in future updates.
As for how it will be presented, I see 3 on the YouTube shorts, wait for it to be similar to how it currently appears I see 2.
I asked YouTube if there will be a limit on the amount of videos I see 3 that you can generate in YouTube shorts in one day, and will update this publication with your answer.
