Zara Larsson has a clear message for anyone who continues editing her Wikipedia page: stop touching the photo.
The Swedish pop star took to TikTok on Wednesday, February 18, to publicly plead with online editors to leave her preferred image alone after noticing that her Wikipedia image had once again been changed to one she doesn’t like.
In the video, Larsson didn’t hold back and jokingly but firmly addressed the mysterious editor behind the change.
“Whoever is changing this damn Wikipedia image to this image… Stop it! Stop it, stop it,” he said.
“I’m being so real, enough is enough.”
In the clip, Larsson is seen scrolling through the Wikimedia Commons photo library looking for an image he approves of, wondering out loud why he can’t just block the use of certain photos.
After some searching, she arrives at a backstage image taken during her 2025 Midnight Sun tour, making it clear that this is the version she wants represented online.
“This is the one I want, and this is the one we are going to change and will continue to change forever,” he said.
Wikipedia pages can be edited publicly, although changes usually require approval from site administrators.
Images of well-known figures are frequently updated, often without the subject’s involvement, which Larsson acknowledged by revealing that he regularly edits his own page to restore the chosen photo.
“I will never stop. I will never stop changing that photo for a pretty one, I will never stop,” he added.
The image she is trying to replace was taken at the Isle of Wight Festival in England in 2024, which the singer called particularly unflattering.
Still, Larsson has spoken openly before about embracing imperfect moments.
In a previous interview, she explained that she often takes photos when she feels least confident.
“I also take a lot of pictures of myself in ugly moments, because I love to compare,” she said.
“I know I’ll feel really ugly right now, but give me an hour with a makeup brush or 12 hours of beauty sleep, I know I’ll feel beautiful again. Maybe not now, but in the future. I don’t know when, but it’s going to happen. Let’s document it.”
For now, however, when it comes to Wikipedia, Larsson is drawing a line. Her request is simple: keep the pretty drawing and, as she says, cut it out.
