Zara Tindall stays stylish as giant hats take over Ladies Day

Zara Tindall took part in Ladies Day at the Randox Grand National Festival on Friday.

The 44-year-old royal opted for an elegant and feminine look and arrived in a pink jacket paired with matching pants.

Later sightings saw her embracing a cream trouser suit with a matching hat that has become synonymous with Aintree.

At her side were her husband Mike Tindall and daughter Mia, making it a stylish family affair.

Ladies’ Day, often called the “Scouse Met Gala”, transformed the Merseyside racecourse into a catwalk of bold choices and fearless fashion.

Around 50,000 racegoers descended on Aintree, dressed in everything from bright florals to daring minidresses, all building anticipation for Saturday’s iconic Grand National.

The hats, as always, got a lot of attention. Charlotte Hawes from Wirral adopted the “bigger is better” mantra with a striking black hat adorned with red roses, although she admitted it had a bit of weight on it.

Milliner Steph Corlett revealed that demand for statement pieces has skyrocketed in recent years, with racegoers going to great lengths post-pandemic to make their looks unforgettable.

Hannah Mooney, from Cheshire, cleverly selected her tweed ensemble and camel hat through charity shops and resale apps, opting to save her budget for gambling.

Her sister Jessica summed up the atmosphere best, calling it “one of the best days of the year.”
